Howdy,
This is already the third message I am writing to you. If you're new here, I welcome you! And now have fun reading this week's list:
General
- Aral Balkan will create an Open Platform that competes on user experience in the consumer space: Codename Prometheus.
- EveryDayDesigner is a platform tackling the everyday web industry issues and some good content.
- A collection of 'The New Internet' – tools for a more decentralized web
- The tiny unknown and missing parts for Responsive Web Development.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Dudley Storey shows you how to achieve good performance by using CSS Animations but also using the power of JavaScript to add the functional greatness for your animation in his article: The Best Of All Possible Worlds: Hybridizing JavaScript With CSS Animations.
- Group and conquer: timing groups for your synchronization woes – Synchronization with the new Web Animations Spec
- Create striped backgrounds with CSS gradients in Sass.
- Web Audio API is coming to Firefox. It will be included in v24 and is already in testing on Firefox Nightly and Aurora.
- Effeckt.css runs all the cool animation demos you're seeing around in some articles but this is for real usage now, and it's crowd-funded by h5bp.
Tools
- Rob Wierzbowski wrote a Jekyll plugin to maintain and serve responsive images on a Jekyll based static website (e.g. github pages).
- Jack Franklin lets you browser all your current issues across your github projects in his tool called githubissuebrowser.
This my dear readers is all for this week. Hope you enjoyed it again!
Cheers,
Anselm
